It finally seems like things are coming together with the engine.
I went and picked up the block today and the pits are gone from the overheating.
Bad thing is that it needed to be decked a little over .5mm to get it smooth again.
I had already bought a headgasket (1.1mm) which is now too small to use, thankfully I called FRSport (I HIGHLY recommend these guys for anyone looking to buy parts in SoCal area) and they said bring it in and exchange it for a thicker one.
I just brought my crankshaft, rods, and pistons back to the same machine shop today and they are getting balanced which should be pretty cool once it’s all back together.
Here’s my 100th post, gonna update my header.
How much is all that work costing you? You don’t haveta answer if you don’t want. I was just wondering, cause I’ve never had any motor at a shop yet.

Well to deck the block took the shop less than an hour so that costed $65.
And I just got the balanced parts back yesterday and to balance the crank, rods, and pistons costed $75.
The most expensive thing I paid for was getting the head welded and decked.
I think if your engine is in average condition it isn’t really that expensive, but if you get a block in bad shape like I did it can cost a bit of money, especially with buying all the parts etc.
